We know that any successful business partnership is reciprocal and that we are only as successful as our customers. So we extend ourselves and our capabilities to find the best solutions for our customers. We regularly supply contract customers with parts exactly to spec, when and where they need them, at highly competitive prices.
Our lean manufacturing processes allow us to produce finished goods within a week in most cases, allowing our customers to place smaller orders more frequently, maintaining low inventory levels and giving them flexibility, space and higher cash-flow.
TOOLING DESIGN
Working closely with our customers to meet their specific requirements, our engineers can offer the most cost-efficient production solutions available for producing quality products maintained to precise tolerances over long production runs.
Our in-house value analysis and tooling expertise ensure the efficient use of materials and the functional integrity of the product. Our tool designers and tool makers have over 100 years of combined experience in making complex, multi-core, multi-slide dies.
TOOLING
Capitol’s highly skilled team of toolmakers take great pride in providing superior precision tools to the specifications of some of North America’s most quality conscious customers.
Our tool designers take into account the longevity of the tool, the precision needed for the part, and the long-term cost to the customer in their design. For complex parts tooling is designed to incorporate as many features as possible into the die-casting process to eliminate costly secondary operations.
In cases where it is not cost-effective or impossible to incorporate all features of a part in the tooling, these parts will go through our secondary operations department.

DIE-CASTING
As one of Canada’s largest users of zinc alloys, Capitol makes millions of castings per month. These castings range from 0.25 oz. miniature and high precision castings to components up to 12 lbs, produced on 6-600 ton die casting machines. With our 18 multi-slide machines and 17 conventional die casting machines we can handle any size job and any complex shape.
Die cast zinc alloys Zamak 2,3,5,7 & ZA 8 are our specialty.

Value added in our Die-Casting department
- Our automated recycling program reduces our costs of die-casting, and in turn, our customers’ overall cost.
- The thermo de-burring process efficiently cleans the excess flash from the castings in a cost effective manner, resulting in a product ready for finishing.

SECONDARY OPERATIONS
Where secondary machining is required we provide our customers with complete ready to use parts. We build custom jigs to facilitate secondary operations for high-volume parts. For customized machining operations, our in-house CNC machining centers meet the most challenging machining specifications.
